Commercial transparency
Readers should be able to tell when a recommendation, link, sample, sponsorship, or connected project has a material relationship behind it.
Effective date: July 23, 2026The simple principle
When a qualifying purchase may earn a commission, readers should be told in clear language.
The Watcher HQ openly identifies its connection to Rexx Timepieces, Meshberg Watches, Rexx StudioWorks, and the Rexx YouTube channel.
Commercial relationships do not buy a positive conclusion or prevent factual criticism.
Affiliate links
Some pages may contain affiliate links. If you follow one and complete a qualifying purchase, The Watcher HQ may receive a commission or other benefit. This normally does not increase the price you pay.
A general disclosure page is not a substitute for context. Where an affiliate relationship is relevant to a recommendation or buying link, the disclosure should appear clearly and reasonably close to that content. Wording such as ‘we may earn a commission if you buy through this link’ is more useful than expecting every reader to understand a label by itself.
Affiliate availability, commission rates, prices, stock, shipping, returns, warranties, and seller policies can change and are controlled by the relevant merchant or platform.
Connected ecosystem relationships
The Watcher HQ is the education, culture, guides, and traffic layer of a connected watch ecosystem. The following projects are not random advertisers:
- Rexx Timepieces is the custom-watch and workshop brand.
- Meshberg Watches is the quiet, small-batch independent watch brand.
- Rexx StudioWorks is the workshop craft brand and store for handmade dials, engraved objects, coins, and related pieces; Etsy is the hosting platform, not the brand.
- Rexx Timepieces on YouTube provides hands-on workshop evidence through builds, dial work, engraving, experiments, and process videos.
Links to these projects may support discovery, trust, product interest, or conversion. Because the projects are connected, relevant articles and pages should identify that relationship rather than pretending to be commercially detached.
Relevance still comes first. A connected link should help the reader understand a process, project, watch, or next step. The connection does not justify forcing a sales link into unrelated content.
Review samples, loans, gifts, and sponsorships
If a watch or product is loaned, gifted, discounted, sponsored, or otherwise supplied under a material arrangement, that fact should be disclosed where it matters to the reader. A loan does not become a positive review, and a gift does not purchase editorial control.
Brands and creators may provide specifications, images, access, interviews, or corrections. Factual input can improve an article, but conclusions, comparisons, and publication decisions remain editorial. Paid placements or sponsored content should be identified as such.
Editorial independence
- Commercial relationships do not guarantee coverage.
- Coverage does not guarantee praise.
- Factual errors may be corrected without allowing a brand to rewrite an opinion.
- Where workshop experience or connected ownership informs a view, that context should be visible.
- Third-party claims and specifications are checked against primary or authoritative sources whenever practical.

What readers should do
Use disclosed relationships as context, not as a reason to switch off your own judgment. Compare specifications, prices, warranties, return terms, and independent evidence before buying. If a disclosure appears missing or unclear, please tell us so it can be reviewed.
